In your answer you must:

  • Use media language to analyse the extract.
  • Use social and cultural context in order to link the clip to realism.
  • Write a conclusion in which you state how far you agree with the social realism attempted in the clip.

In the video they try to make it real by adding sound effects that you would hear in real life like the police sirens they didnt use any other noise when they were chacing someone in the car. They could of used a something funny however there trying to make it serious.

Cuffs

Diegetic- Natural sounds
Non-Diegetic- Sounds that have been added for effect

sounds:
-sound effect
-voice overs
-atmosphere/background
-dialogue
-music

Analyse how sound is used in the extract to create meaning. Refer to at least two examples from the extract on your answer.
Clip from 27:31 to 30:01

The sound effect was a crunched crisp. This draws attention to the audience because you won't be able to hear the crunch while her mouth is closed. The second sound effect is when the tractor went round the corner. The police officers would have heard the tractor way before it came around the corner and would of had a heads up.
